found in book 234 for Combermere and Rockingham at Archives of Anglican Church, Ottawa,
this is the man who was dead when the people from Pembroke went to tell
them that the father had died there. Thomas' body was brought from
Bells Rapids and buried with the father at Cobden. Part of Mrs.
Johnston's family lore. May P
farm house back of Purdy where Thomas Edwards bled to death - and it was Thomas Edwards aged 23 yrs died Jan 1886 his father had died in the Pembroke area the next day and they went by sleigh to tell the folks at Bangor and found the second body!!! This tale was told to me by ??? her family had the sale barn at Cobden Mrs Percival?? I think it started with a "P" She was also connected to this Edwards family and so is the Berry family.
