  From Barb McCourt In the church records of St. Michaels Douglas, on March 14, 1907 at age 23, Elizabeth Pierce McCourt, wife of Charles McCourt made a Profession of Faith. In the Douglas church records, there was a letter dated Cache Bay, Jan. 06, 1907. It was addressed to Father Quilty of Douglas. It stated that Elizabeth Pierce now Mrs. McCourt was living at Golden Lake at the time of her baptism. The writer of the letter was the niece of Mrs. James Kennedy. I understand that Elizabeth Pierce who was the second wife of Charles McCourt is buried in the Turner family cemetery. She died July 1, 1948 in Hamilton, Ontario. She was the daughter of Thomas Pierce and Margaret Kennedy. >From church records, Eganville: She died in Hamilton on July 1, 1948. A funeral was held at St. James Church in Eganville on July 5.
