  Notes	Married: Renfrew Mercury Apr 17 1903 A select party of friends and relatives met at the home of Mr Alexander Th omson, of Horotn, on Wed of last week, to celebrate the mariage of his da u, Minerva, to Mr John A Jardine, of Ross. Tehe groom's right hand man w as Mr Hugh Gilmour, of Ross, while Miss Maggie Thomson, acted as bridesma id for her sister. Rev Hugh Taylor performed the ceremony. After the usu al congratulations and a hearty prpast, the happy coule drove out to the ir future home in Ross accompanied by a number of their young friends, whe re the evening was spent in a sociable way with a large company who await ed thier home coming. The preseents made to the bride were both useful a nd select.   Mrs. Jardine The Late Mrs. Jardine - After a short illness from pneumonia Mrs. Jardin e, whose maiden name was Minerva Thompson, passed away in the R. M. Hospit al here on Saturday morning at the early age of thirty-nine years. The la te Mrs. Jardine, who had spent the past two years keeping house for Mr. W m. Reid of Cedar Hill, was called to Cobden about two weeks ago the ho me of her brother, where they were all down with the prevailing influen za and while nursing them she contracted the disease and was conveyed to h ospital here last Thursday. Pneumonia developed and in spite of medical at tention and loving care, she passed away. She is survived by three childre n, Ellen of Westboro, Jennie of Cedar Hill and Thompson of Castlefor d, to whom the sincere sympathy of many friends gores out in their sad a nd sudden bereavement. Her husband predeceased her some years ago. Interme nt was made in the 8th line cemetery, on Saturday afternoon.
