George married Mary Alice Larone, daughter of David Larone and Winnie Ingles, on 11 Oct 1943 in Greenwood. Pte. Lamkie was serving with the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry Highlanders, Royal Canadian Infantry Corp, Canadian Army, Service Number C103188. He had 11 siblings.
