 Sgt. Vernon William Graham was a druggist who enlisted Dec 13, 1915 at the age of 22 and died Jul 16, 1918 in England, age 24. He was the son of Robert B. Graham and Isabella Montgomery and was born in Cobden. He transferred from a Sgt in the 5th Canadian Division into the 18th Wing of Royal Canadian Air Force in December 1917. He was approved in May 2018, to marry Jessie Chandler in England while enlisted. In July while a Flight Cadet, he was killed accidentally in a mid-air collision between two Avros near Napsbury, England.
