      Description: -Henry is listed as son of a United Empire Loyalist in the Canadian Government archives. He took the Oath of Allegiance on 5 June 1801 (name incorrectly spelled as Boice).
      - Henry Boys petitioned for land 5th August 1803; on 10 October 1803 Henery Boys, yeoman,on stating that he, with wife & children, had been four years in the Province, and had property consisting of horses, cows, oxen and hogs farming utensils and a little cash was granted 200 acres of land in the Township of Gower south, County of Grenville in the Dist.of Johnstown; He paid to the Receiver General's Office the full fee of One Pound Seven Shillings and Six-Pence, Currency, for the Surveying Fees.
      - Henry's Will, Registered on 7 Oct. 1819 in South Gower Twp., Johnstown Dist. (Source: Land Book G, Memorial #480), willed all his landed property to his son, John, who was instructed to pay his brother David the sum of 15 ?s and to keep and maintain for life his sister Cornelia.
      - Note: 1. There are researchers that believe Henry was the son of Johannes Buys (John Byce) 1743-1800 m. 3 Sep 1770 in Tarrytown, NY Lea Storm 1743-1763, however, it is more likely they were brothers; John died in the American Revolution - Leah Buys applied for Pension.
