Pte. Hugh Gordon Ross employed as a drug clerk at time of enlistment Nov 11, 1915, age 19 and died on Feb 5, 1919 in hospital at Wimereux, France of influenza, age 22. He was born in Pakenham Twp., to Alfred Scott Ross and Marion Greig. Alfred was CPR agent in Cobden. Pte Ross was serving in the 78th Battalion, Royal Highlanders of Canada.
