Notes - !source: 1. bmd renfrew mercury paper date sep 9 1887 Renfrew Mercury 1924 Leah Eady, relict of the late Philander Smith of Haley's Station whose dea th occurred at teh family home early Thursday morning, had been ailing f or over a year with heart trouble following which a paralytic strke took h er away quietly to rest. The late Leah Eady was born in Horton on teh fa rm which her brother, W C Eady, lived: he passing away six months ago. T he farm is now owned by his son Tinswood Eady. Some of the family arriv ed to see her before she died. Mrs Smith was always a kind and good neigh bor and everybody far and near loved her ways. She was a kind mother, al so a good stepmother. A little over a year ago nearly all teh family we re called home to see her pass aaway, but she reained her strength till no w. Four sons and four dau are left, they being Mrs Willie Scobie of Saska toon; Orin on the homestead, Mrs Walter Eady of Saskatoon; Nide A SMi th of Ruther Glen. The step children are Willard SMith of Ruther Glen, He nry Smith of Blenheim, Mrs Jaems Scobie, Queen's Line; Mrs Noah Charr on of Ottawa. Two brothers still live: Thomsa Eady of Forest'er Falls a nd John Eady of Killaloe.
